چکیده
Background: We sought to examine the relationship between environmental factors and Canada's distribution of melanoma incidence 1992 2010. Methods: Data was obtained from Canadian Cancer Registry, Vital Statistics, Urban Environmental Health Research Consortium. Crude rates were for forward sortation areas (FSAs). Enviromental variables included: normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) as a proxy green space, precipitation, yearly temperature, number weather events 1992-2010. exposures modeled tertiles via two-level random-effect generalized linear model evaluate dose-response relationship. Results: Across Canada, average annual temperature increased significantly over time (p < 0.0001). Other significant increases absolute amount well heat rain. Greatest observed in Newfoundland, PEI Manitoba. A positive rate confirmed (Beta: 6.23, 95%CI: 5.2, 9.93). With each increase NDVI, odds doubled high-risk FSAs compared those with low-risk (OR: 2.72, 2.49, 2.97; & OR = 4.31, 3.91, 4.76; 2 3 respectively). Discussion: Consistent strong relationships changes enviromental this study. High ambient leads more outdoors, less protective clothing, greater sunburns. The presence parks an abundance foliage may encourage public spend outdoors increasing UVR exposure. Public health advice be improved by taking account both space accesibility their implications behaviour.

BACKGROUND Cutaneous melanoma is one of the most serious skin cancers. It is caused by neural crest-derived melanocytes - pigmented cells normally present in the epidermis and, sometimes, in the dermis. METHODS We performed a review of current knowledge on the risk factors of cutaneous melanoma. Relevant studies were identified using the PubMed, Science Direct, Medline, Scopus, Scholar Google...
متن کامل[Geographical inequalities in mortality and incidence in larynx cancer in men: socioeconomic and environmental factors].
BACKGROUND Several studies suggest the relationship between lower socioeconomic status and environmental factors with increased risk of cancer. Within the framework of the MEDEA project, this work aims to identify geographic inequalities in larynx cancer (LC) mortality and incidence in men and its association with deprivation and environmental factors. METHODS Ecological study having as refer...

Among diabetic patients, depression has been associated with worse self-care behaviors, poor glycemic control, and an increased risk of diabetes complications. Identifying factors associated with the occurrence of depression may help physicians identify earlier di...
